Asha workers protest in Punjab

Ludhiana 24 July 2011 Asha Workers Union of Punjab organised a rally in Ludhiana on 24 July demanding minimum wages, hike in incentives, promotion as per seniority and implementation of granted notifications. Thousands of asha workers participated in the rally. The rally was addressed by the State President Amarjit Kaur, along with State General Secretary Paramjit Kaur Maan, Ranjit Kaur, Sukhjit Kaur, NTUI State President Com. Bhagmal Rana, Dinesh Parsad, Mulazim Munch leader Germanjit Singh, Harinder Dosanjh, Sukhdev Singh Faridkot, Istri Morcha Punjab Leader Com. Charanjit Kaur, Lok Sangarsh Committee State Convener Rana Karan Singh and others.
Everyone in the protest asked the government of Punjab to fulfill their promise which they had made with the Asha workers union.
